Scarlet's Den Promo
A few of the animations and sounds I made for Scarlet's Den.
Working closely with James Kirkland Ph.D., P.G. Utah's State paleontologist and other paleontologists and anatomists, we created one of the most accurate reconstructions of Utahraptor to date in a new kind of experience focused exhibit where you will be able to interact with a living Utahraptor in virtual reality. Won "Best in Showcase" my Senior year in the program. The original goal of this was to bring in excitement for the Utahraptor and help gain funding for the 9 ton raptor block that was at the Museum of Ancient Life in Lehi, Utah. Unfortunately, those plans fell apart.
Created with Jake Lofgren.
I concepted and created the look of this animal, as well as the little den.
I created many of the low poly bones. 1-1 bones of the skeleton in the BYU Museum. Thanks to Galatea Digital for photogrammetry asset.
I created the muscles from scratch, with the direction of John Hutchinson Ph.D. Professor of Evolutionary Biomechanics at the University of London.
I also made the blend shapes and many of the animations. Such as the walk, run, eating, drinking, roaring and attacking animations.
I was also responsible for the sound design and mixing of Scarlet's many sounds.
